AMELIA, Va. — One person is dead after a single-car crash in Amelia County.

Virginia State Police say a 1999 Ford F-350 ran off the road, hit a driveway, went airborne, struck several trees, overturned and ejected the passenger.

It happened around 6:15 pm Friday night on Route 609 about 1 mile North of Route 60.

Paramedics pronounced the driver, 26-year-old Justin T. Tillman of Powhantan, dead at the scene.

Investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
