RICHMOND, Va. -- Former state delegate Joe Morrissey has announced he will be getting married Saturday to the woman he once went to jail for having a relationship with. Morrissey and Myrna Warren will have their wedding Saturday evening at his family farm in Varina. The outdoor ceremony will be officiated by Father Wayne Ball of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Pastor A. Lincoln James of Trinity Baptist Church.

The couple has children together.

In 2015, Morrissey served a 90-day jail sentence for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The sentence was the result of a plea deal Morrissey struck after he was accused of having a sexual relationship with Warren, who was an underage secretary in his law office.

Warren has denied they had a sexual relationship before she turned 18-years-old, while Morrissey did not admit he broke the law, but did admit there was enough evidence to convict him.

Morrissey is now running to be mayor of Richmond.
