RICHMOND, Va. — June is Great Outdoors Month in Virginia, so how will you celebrate?
Outdoor activities are among the biggest reasons people come to visit Virginia.
“Our research shows that 17 percent of Virginia’s visitors come for outdoor recreation, which ranks second after visiting friends and family,” Virginia Tourism Corporation President and CEO Rita McClenny said.
Natural tourist attractions like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Skyline Drive, and Shenandoah National Park make Virginia a popular destination for people who want to have fun outdoors.
