Man accused of obscene display at Wendy’s accused of similar crimes in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – A Richmond man charged with obscene sexually display inside a Hanover Wendy’s has now been charged with similar crimes in Chesterfield County.

Kent Greenway, 67, has been charged with two counts of simulated masturbation for incidents in Chesterfield on March 2, 2016 and May 5, 2016.

Police said they originally received a report that on March 2, a female victim saw a man masturbating in a McDonald`s in the 9200 block of Midlothian Turnpike.

When the victim got up from her seat, the suspect fled. The suspect was identified as Greenway when the victim called police after seeing a news report about Greenway’s arrest in Hanover.

There is no additional information concerning the May incident at this time.

Greenway was previously charged with two counts of obscene sexual display after an incident inside the Wendy’s located along the 7100 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike in Mechanicsville.

The incident occurred on May 9, 2016. He was arrested on May 18.

A victim said Greenway approached her and sat down directly in front of her said then put his hand on his genitals “as if to play with himself.”

According to online court records, Greenway also committed a similar crime in Norfolk two days before the Hanover incident. He was arrested a week after that incident.

Greenway faces a class one misdemeanor on each charge, which carries up to one year in jail and a $2,500 fine.
