Police looking for 2 suspects in home invasion robbery, assault in Hopewell

HOPEWELL, Va. — Police are looking for two suspects wanted in a home invasion robbery at a Hopewell home Monday morning.

Police said around 1:47 a.m. officers responded to the 800 Block of Crestline Blvd. for a reported home invasion robbery.

The victim reported he encountered two armed men as he exited the front door of his residence. He said the men then forced him back into his home and stole cash and electronics before assaulting him and fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim sustained a minor injury during the incident which required no medical treatment.

One suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, age 25 to 30, and wearing a dreadlock style haircut. The man was described as 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 7, wearing cargo pants with a dark colored t-shirt and displayed a silver handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male, age 25 to 30, and wearing an afro-style haircut. The man was described as 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 6, wearing a white t-shirt with dark sleeves, dark colored jeans and displayed a dark colored handgun.

The Hopewell Police Department continues to investigate the incident and is requesting that any person(s) who have information regarding this crime or who may have been traveling in and around the area of this incident and observed any suspicious person(s) or vehicle(s) contact the Hopewell Police Department at (804) 541-2222.
