Police looking for two men believed to be witnesses in Richmond altercation

RICHMOND, Va. – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify two men who may have witnessed an altercation on Jefferson Davis Highway earlier in May.

Police said the men are believed to have witnessed an altercation between a man and woman around 5:48 p.m. on May 3 near the 1900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

Police did not specify on the altercation, but Richmond Police have previously reported that at the same time on the same day, somebody shot at an occupied vehicle in that area.

The shooting incident was reported at 5:48 p.m. on May 3 near the 2500 block of Royall Ave., which is two blocked from Jefferson Davis Hwy, according to an incident report.
