Celebrate Jackson Ward: Past, Present & Future

RICHMOND: Richmond's newest festival Celebrate Jackson Ward: Past, Present & Future, kicks off Friday in Abner Clay Park amidst the cool temperatures. The festival features The Richmond Symphony, Virginia Repertory Theatre, Richmond Jazz Society, Elegba Folklore Society, Johnny Houston & Swagger, Richmond Jazz Ensemble and other community and school groups under the "Big Tent".  The New Black History Museum will also be open to the public.

There are a few changes to the weekend's performances, due to inclement weather, the festival schedule is as follows - Friday: as planned for ART180 in Abner Clay Park at 5pm. Saturday performances except for the Richmond Symphony (now performing on Sunday) 12pm-6pm moves inside to Richmond Alternative School Auditorium, 119 West Leigh Street.
