RICHMOND: A permanent exhibition called "SPEED" opens at the Science Museum of Virginia Saturday, May 21st. The exhibition features over fifty experiences taking you from the super-fast to the world's slowest machine, an air-hockey playing robot, a human wind tunnel, a pitching cage, a challenge to see if you can text faster than a telegraph operator and many others.
A highlight of the exhibition is the SR-71 Blackbird, an amazing aircraft displayed safely above the other exhibits. "SPEED" opens to members Friday, May 20, 9:30am-9pm and to the general public Saturday at 9:30am. To get more information on SPEED log onto http://www.smv.org or call 804-864-1400. Also look for MessFest, Science After Dark and Summer Camps coming to the Science Museum.
