RICHMOND, Va — We have all had a teacher who we credit with helping to mold us into who we are today. A partnership of Virginia organizations is now offering students and parents an opportunity to thank those special educators.
The Virginia Lottery, Virginia Tourism Corporation, and Virginia PTA are joining together to launch the “Thank a Teacher” campaign on Tuesday. Students and parents can submit thank-you notes to kindergarten through high school teachers online. Teachers who receive notes will then be entered for a chance to win a Virginia vacation.
Notes can be submitted through May 13 on the Virginia Lottery’s website.
The launch celebration is taking place on Tuesday at Westover Hills Elementary at 10:00 a.m.
