HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police are investigating after a driver sustained serious injuries in a single vehicle crash early Sunday morning.
Police and fire units responded to a single vehicle fire near the Henrico/Hanover border on Creighton Road a little before 4:45 a.m. after a vehicle struck a guard rail and left the roadway before ending up in the tree line.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to VCU Medical Center to receive treatment for his injuries. There is no current update on the driver’s condition.
The crash shut down Creighton Road for almost two hours, with police reopening the road at 6:30 a.m.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and say that any possible charges are pending the completion of this investigation.
