Boulevard ALDI location gets May 5 opening date

RICHMOND, Va. – Scott’s Addition’s first grocery store, the ALDI on the Boulevard, will open May 5. The location is 927 Myers Street, near the CVS at Boulevard and Broad Street.

Customers can also tour the store, sample ALDI exclusive brand products and enter an on-site sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of ALDI produce.

ALDI, with nearly 1,500 stores in 33 states, offers grocery products at low prices.

They carry fruits and vegetables, including several organic produce items.

“As ALDI continues to grow in Richmond, we are pleased to open this new location to help more smart shoppers stretch their dollars even further,” said Jeff Baehr, Frederick division vice president for ALDI. “Asimportant as price is, there’s only one way to attract and keep shoppers: You have to have quality products. When people try our ALDI exclusive brands, they are surprised by the savings and impressed by the quality.”

The ALDI offer organic produce, USDA Choice beef, the liveGfreeTM gluten-free product line and the SimplyNature line of products free from over 125 artificial ingredients and preservatives.

All exclusive brand food products are free of certified synthetic colors, partially hydrogenated oils and added MSG.

The hours will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
