RICHMOND, Va - Good friends of Virginia This Morning Herman "Big Herm" Baskerville and Leanne Fletcher were back in the kitchen for a dinner and dessert double feature. 1 large onion (chopped)
3 galic cloves (minced)
2 tsp. oil
6-8 Red Delicious Apples
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup vinager
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup soy sauce
8-10 bone in pork chops
Directions
Sear chops on both sides. Place in two
8 1/2 x 11 baking pans. Set aside
Brown onion and garlic with oil in large sauce pan.
Add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil.
Reduce to low and cook until thick.
Pour over seared chops.
Cover pan and bake in 325F for 1 hour.
Banana Cinnamon Buns
1/2 cup chopped
Glaze
6 Tablespoons butter
2 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Directions
Place into mixer.
Sprinkle in the yeast and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
Add a tablespoon of the sugar and the salt and stir.
Add 1 cup of the flour and mix.
Add the mashed banana.
Slowly add the remaining flour.
The dough will be sticky.
Dust counter with a little flour.
Place dough ball on floured counter and knead the dough until it is smooth.
Roll the dough into a ball and toss it back into the bowl.
Spray the top of the dough with non stick spray and cover it with plastic wrap.
Allow the dough to rise in a for about 45 minutes.
Melt the remaining butter and allow it to cool.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
Brush the melted butter over the surface of the dough and sprinkle the sugar and spices over the melted butter.
Sprinkle the pecans next.
Place cut banana in rows of 3.
Roll the dough up.
Slice log in 8 even sized pieces.
Place into a 9″ baking dish.
Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise while you preheat your oven to 350°F. Once heated cook the rolls for 35-45 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
Make the glaze while the rolls cool.
In a small saucepan brown the butter. Whisk in the milk, vanilla and powdered sugar. Drizzle this glaze on the rolls.
