Fredericksburg police said Skylyn Lorraine Denson's parents last saw her at their home in the 400 block of Morningside Drive around 4 p.m. Sunday.

"Skylyn’s parents left her at home alone and went to the store. When they returned, they found a note from Skylyn stating she was spending the night at an unknown friend’s house," officials said in a news release. "Skylyn did not return home Monday, April 11th."
