NORFOLK, Va. -- Thanks to the quick action of a passenger at Norfolk International Airport and a building maintenance team, 10 baby ducklings are safe and back with their mother.
The ducklings ran into some trouble after falling into a grate in the airport parking lot.
A vigilant traveler spotted the duckling in the storm drain and a building maintenance team quickly assisted to remove them from harm’s way.
The airport said after a few tense moments and a lot of quacking from their mother, the 10 baby ducklings were pulled out of the drain by a net.
The ducklings were unharmed and have been reunited with their mother.
