Woman with burgundy purse robs bank inside Chesterfield Kroger

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A woman robbed the SunTrust bank branch in the Kroger grocery store on Hicks Road, near Hull Street Road, in Chesterfield Monday afternoon, according to police.

Police described the robber as a 20 to 29-year-old white female who stands 5’2″ tall and had shoulder-length dirty blond hair.

“A female suspect approached a teller and passed a note claiming she had a weapon and demanding money. No weapon was displayed. Upon receiving cash, the suspect fled,” a police spokeswoman said about the 3 p.m. robbery. “She was wearing brown sunglasses, a gray sweatshirt and jeans and carrying a burgundy purse,” police said.
