RICHMOND, Va. — Candace Burns is not just a great news anchor, she is also an exceptional athlete. Candace graduated from Wichita State University where she was a scholarship athlete on the Shockers women’s basketball team.
So when it came time to shoot baskets for a CBS 6 March Madness promo, Candace did not need a second take.
“A viewer asked me did I still have my jump shot,” she posted on Facebook. “My jump shot is a skill that’s ingrained into my brain and wrist… developed by millions of practice shots in my driveway! One take… and we were done! I haven’t picked up a ball in awhile… so I was kind of excited to be on the court!
