Man in hoodie and baseball hat wanted for wallet theft

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man, who is a suspect in a March 2 wallet theft.

Police said on March 2, a victim reported that her wallet had been taken from her purse earlier that day while she was at work in the 6700 block of Forest Hill Avenue.

The victim told police she saw someone leaving her office, around 10:30 a.m. that day, but nothing appeared to have been tampered with inside the room.

She later noticed her wallet was missing from inside her purse.

The suspect is described as a tall black male wearing a black hoodie and baseball hat. He was seen leaving the area in a silver car.

Police ask anyone with any information about this man’s identity to call Third Precinct Detective Ryan Nixon at (804) 646-1165 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
