Police seek ‘person of interest’ after man found dead on Henrico street

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Police are looking for a "person of interest" after a Virginia Beach man was found shot to death on a Henrico street Thursday morning.

Police identified the victim as 23-year-old Jahshim Nahshon Turnbull, of Virginia Beach. Turnbull was found Thursday at about 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of Alma Avenue and E. Laburnum Avenue.

"[A] citizen informed officers that a male had been shot in the area of Alma Avenue. Officers located a deceased male on Conway Street near Cliff Avenue," a Henrico Police spokesman said. "The motive is unknown and the detectives are continuing their investigation."

Officials said surveillance cameras captured Turnbull entering a business with the man pictured below, who has been named a "person of interest" in the investigation. .

He is described as a black male, about six feet two inches tall, with braided hair, glasses. He was last seen wearing a light blue polo style shirt.
