Gunman in scary mask robs stores, escapes in minivan

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — Investigators are looking for help catching the masked gunman who robbed stores in Mechanicsville and Henrico County. Both robberies happened at 7-Eleven stores. The robber was described as a black man wearing a Halloween mask. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket, dark-colored pants and black and white gloves.

He initially robbed the 7-Eleven at Nine Mile Road and Airport Drive, in eastern Henrico,  just before 2 a.m. Sunday, according to investigators.

About an hour later, he robbed the 7-Eleven along the 6600 block of Cold Harbor Road in Mechanicsville.  There he entered that 7-Eleven, displayed a firearm and took an undisclosed amount of cash, investigators said. He was last seen leaving the area in a gray minivan.
