CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left a woman dead Saturday morning in Chesterfield County.
The accident occurred a little after 11 a.m. when a Dodge Neon driven by the woman traveling north on Belmont Road collided with a Dodge Dakota Pickup driven by a male headed south.
The woman was transported to Chippenham Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The male driver and his passenger were also transported to Chippenham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash and are withholding the identity of the woman at this time until the next of kin is notified.
