WARSAW, Va. — The storm-damaged community of Naylors Beach is closed to the public, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
“Due to numerous homes being damaged and completely destroyed in the area of Naylors Beach, the public is being asked to please avoid the area to facilitate the arrival of additional public safety resources,” the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook. “Portions of Naylors Beach Road and Strangeway Road are closed and will continue to be until further notice. Deputies with our office have been recalled to duty in order to respond to this incident, and we will keep you updated as we receive new information.”
