Missing man may have overdosed before running away from home

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. — Deputies are asking for the public’s help to find a 47-year-old man who ran away from home after possibly overdosing on prescription medication Friday afternoon.

Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office officials said Michael Thomas Mikalonis was last seen around 3 p.m. running away from a home in the 6900 block of Frontage Road in the northern part of the county.

Mikalonis, who has Multiple Sclerosis and a history of seizures, is in need of “immediate medical attention,” deputies said in a news release.

He is described as a white male around five feet eight inches tall and weighing 206 pounds. He was last spotted wearing a Navy style peacoat, blue jeans and grey gloves.
