CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – The Chester man accused of attacking another man because he was gay has been released from jail and into his mother's custody.
James William Hill III is charged with a federal hate crime after an alleged attack at the Amazon shipping facility in Chester in May of 2015.
Police said the 34-year-old beat up and punched the victim in the face because of his sexual orientation.
Hill faces 10 years in prison if convicted.
