HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police are on scene of a single vehicle crash on 295 SB at the the ramp to 95 NB in Glen Allen. The trailer was loaded with 38,000 pounds of trash.

A 2011 Freightliner was coming down the ramp when the driver applied the brakes for slowing traffic causing the trailer to overturn, Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick said. No one was hurt.

“The ramp from I-295 south to I-95 north (Exit 43B) is closed due to a crash,” a VDOT spokeswoman said. “Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route. Expect delays.”

The ramp will be closed for approximately another 1.5 hours as cleanup continues, police said. The crash occurred around 7:29 a.m.
