GREENFIELD, Mass. — There are a lot of things that fall under the motto to protect and serve that police officers are called on to do. For two Greenfield, Massachusetts police officers, that included showing children how to sled safely.
Officers Patty West and Laura Gordon were on patrol when they saw children sledding on a hill, the Greenfield’s Police Department posted on Facebook Among the sledding children were two girls from Florida.
The two officers stopped to give the girls some tips on how to enjoy the snow safely. Naturally, they also needed to demonstrate — so they jumped on the sleds, too.
