Richmond, Va. -- As we had mentioned on Thursday, snowfall accumulation for this morning would be concentrated in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. The rain gradually changed over to snow overnight through daybreak. Even though surface temperatures were relatively mild, the quick burst of snowfall allowed the ground to cool enough for the wet snow to stick.
