MIAMI -- A  South Florida woman played the role of police officer when she spotted a driver speeding down the highway and pulled the driver over. The driver was a Miami-Dade Police Officer.

Claudia Castillo said the officer passed her so fast that her car shook. He did not have his emergency lights on. Upset, she decided to chase him -- and began recording on her cell phone, placing it on its dash stand.

"He's been driving recklessly. He was going about 100 miles an hour 'cause I was hitting 80 and I could not catch up to him," she said in the video posted on YouTube Friday.

She chased the officer on two expressways. As they approached I-95, he noticed her and the two pulled over.

That's when Castillo asked the officer questions he was probably used to asking.

"The reason I pulled you over today: I just wanted to know, what's the emergency?" she asked.

"I don't know how fast I was going, but I can tell you this, I'm on my way to work right now," the officer said.

"I don't believe I was speeding, but like I said, you're entitled to your opinion," he continued.

He then said he stopped because he noticed her, and asked if she had an emergency.

"Everything's fine. It's your speeding," she said.

"Well, then I apologize. I'll be sure to slow down," he responded.

She declined to take his name and badge number, saying he should now lead by example. The police department's director said in a statement the incident was under investigation.
