Armed robber steals cash from South Richmond store

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Police detectives want the public’s help to identify the suspect who robbed the In & Out Food Store, located at 1017 Jefferson Davis Highway.

At approximately 6:55 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, a male walked into the store, pulled out a gun, and stole cash from the business.

Police said that the suspect fled on foot towards Gordon Avenue. The suspect also approached the store from the direction of Gordon Avenue.

There were no injuries.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 20-28 years of age, approximately 5’9” and weighing approximately 175 pounds.

He wore a blue, hooded jacket and blue jeans. His face was partially covered.

Detectives ask anyone with any information about this man’s identity to call First Precinct Detective Gaetano Drago at (804) 646-3395 or (804) 510-4182 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
