Gunmen knock on front door, rob man who answered

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. — A Colonial Heights man said he was robbed, at gunpoint, when he answered his front door. The crime, he said, happened at 11:30 p.m. Thursday along the 300 block of Roanoke Avenue.

“Officers arriving on the scene were advised by the victim that two black males came to his residence and demanded money. One of the suspects displayed a handgun,” Colonial Heights
Police spokesman Sgt. Rob Ruxer said. “After obtaining money from the victim they fled on foot in an unknown direction.”

Police said one of the suspects wore a red stocking hat.
