GLEN ALLEN, Va. — A 19-year-old Glen Allen teenager was found dead in an apartment in downtown Columbia, South Carolina, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said. Rachel Bandman, 19, was a University of South Carolina student and public relations major. She graduated from Deep Run High School in 2014, according to her Facebook page.
“[Bandman] was found unresponsive by a roommate around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. EMS was called to the scene however Ms. Bandman was dead on their arrival,” Watts said. “An autopsy was conducted this morning and no signs of trauma were found, the Coroner stated that a final cause and manner of death will be pending until final toxicology studies are complete.”
