RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Fire is investigating the cause of a house fire in the 1700 block of N 22nd St. Thursday.
Fire officials said they received a call for a heavy fire and smoke coming from the rear of the home around 7:35 p.m. Crews were on the scene four minutes later.
The fire was marked under control at 8:26 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Three adults and two children have been displaced. The Red Cross has been notified for possible assistance.
The fire is still under investigation, but initial reports are that it started in the rear of the structure.
