Richmond lost their 2nd straight overall 78-70 to Davidson. The Spiders were 0-15 from 3-point land and in their last two games, they are just 3-33 from behind the arc. Terry Allen led four Richmond players in double figures with 23. The Wildcats' Jack Gibbs, who came in as the 3rd leading scorer in the country, had just 11 points on 3-17 shooting. Peyton Aldridge led the way with 34 points for Davidson.
VCU has won 10 straight and Je'Quan Lewis has been a big reason why. He has averaged 22 points and almost six assists in the last three games.
The VCU's women won game one of the Capital City Classic 53-42 over Richmond. They outscored the Lady Spiders 16-4 in the 4th quarter.
