CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The cause of a Tuesday morning house fire along Cattail Road, near Nash Road, in Chesterfield remained under investigation into the afternoon. Fire crews were called to the home at about 6:46 a.m. to put out the flames.
“Fire crews arrived to a single story home that was fully involved with fire,” Chesterfield Fire and EMS spokesman Lt. Jason Elmore said. “It appears that no one lived in the home. Firefighters operated from outside the home due to the heavy fire involvement.”
It took crews about an hour to get the fire under control.
