Rough start for Wall Street’s New Year

RICHMOND, Va. -- After some bad economic numbers from China which sent Asian stock markets plummeting, Wall Street took a tumble as well, finishing Monday’s opening 2016 session with a drop of 1.5-2%.

The sell-out faded during the course of the day, allowing the market to recover from the day’s steepest declines.

But after a flat 2015, the jolt investors took Monday was disconcerting.

So what can you expect going forward? Jamie Cox, from the Harris Financial Group joins Bill Fitzgerald and offers some calming insights into what the year could hold for investors.
