HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A group of Henrico Police officers adopted a child this Christmas when they learned the child's family was having a hard time making ends meet financially this year. In a video posted to the Henrico Police Facebook page, the officers arrived at the family's home carrying bags full of gifts for the child and a Kroger gift card for his mother.
"We chose to adopt Tiquan this Christmas and to make sure you have the best Christmas ever. So all of these presents and these bags, which there are a lot of, are all for you," an officer explained to the child.
The gift was made possible, in part, by a donation from the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club.
