VCU sophomore found dead in Washington DC alley

WASHINGTON — A Virginia Commonwealth University sophomore was found dead Thursday morning in a stairwell alley behind a Washington DC bar and restaurant.

Family members have identified the teen as 19-year-old Paul McGuinness of Reston, Va., according to WUSA. McGuinness had been reported missing since Monday, according to his family.

McGuinness was a first year sophomore at VCU. He had just returned home for the holidays.

He was found behind Madam’s Organ bar and restaurant on 18th Street NW.

Preliminary information indicates there is no foul play involved, but police are investigating.
