RICHMOND, Va. -- Reba Hollingsworth drew inspiration from her college days when it came time to decide how to give back this month. She decided she wanted to buy lunch for college students as part of her CBS 6 Month of Giving contribution.

"I just remember money being tight as a college student, so that’s why I chose this location [The VCU  Student Commons]," she said. "I saw two young girls going through the line. As one student named Kajal, a Junior, is placing her order and about to pay, I asked if I could pay for her lunch and her friend named Alicia. Funny that Kajal only wanted chicken nuggets. We asked if she wanted fries and a drink and she said 'no, thank you.'"

All month long, members of the CBS 6 news team will be in the community, helping people through random acts of kindness. We hope those we help will then be inspired to pay it forward. If you've been inspired to pay it forward, click here to share your story.
