RICHMOND, Va. — A Glen Allen man was arrested in connection with a November 16 homicide that left a woman dead in the woods. Jeffrey L. Michaux Jr., 24, of the 11000 block of Cobbs Road in Glen Allen, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to a Richmond Police spokesperson. A police officer saw Michaux, who was wanted in connection with the homicide, at a business in Hanover County and took him into custody, police said.
Wanted for Questioning
Several days after the death of 33-year-old Ashley Davis, police released a photo of a man wanted for questioning.
“We don’t have a detailed description of this individual beyond what can be seen in the photograph,” Major Crimes Detective Jamie Baynes said at the time. “But we hope that someone will recognize his distinctive clothing, including his hat, patterned sweater and gold rimmed glasses.”
The Crime
Police responded to the St. John’s Wood apartment complex at approximately 12:09 a.m. on November 16 to investigate a shots fired call. Upon arrival they found Davis’ body in the woods across the parking lot from an apartment building in the 1000 block of Finchley Place, police said.
