COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. — The Metro Richmond Police Emerald Society is inviting the public to attend a fundraiser in honor of fallen Virginia State Trooper Nathan-Michael Smith.

Smith was killed on September 21, after a fatal car wreck, when his cruiser flipped into the woods and hit several trees on Route 460 in Dinwiddie County.

All proceeds of the fundraiser will go directly to Smith’s family.

The fundraiser will be held on what would be Smith’s 28th birthday, Sunday, December 6, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at El Caporal’s, located at 241 Charles Dimmock Parkway in Colonial Heights.

T-shirts honoring Smith will be sold, raffles will be conducted, and a silent auction will take place.

You will also be able to donate on the Metro Richmond Police Emerald Society website, through Paypal to the LODD fund. MRPES ask that donors note, the donation is for Trooper Smith.
