RICHMOND, Va. — Samuel, 15, is a typical teenager who prefers to get his way. He very loving and caring. Sam, as he likes to be called, enjoys school, loves learning and works very hard at staying focused and getting his assignments and other school work done. Sam loves sports and is a talented artist.

He especially likes to see plants growing and enjoys tending to the garden at his foster parents’ home. As with everyone, it takes Sam a while to get adjusted to new environments and new routines; therefore, be patient with Samuel as he transitions to your home. Same is a fun loving guy and loves the family setting and interaction that a family provides.

In Virginia, we have over 860 children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts -The Deborah J Johnston Foundation celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other 830 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own. To learn more and becoming a foster to adoption parent (s)
