Dominion GardenFest of Lights - through January 11, 2016. (Closed December 24 & 25) Nightly 5 – 10 p.m., This year's theme is H2WHOA! Showcases water in all forms. A holiday tradition featuring more than half-a-million twinkling lights, hand-crafted botanical decorations, model trains, holiday dinners, firepit with s’mores and hot chocolate (for purchase); nightly family activities & more. Friday - Sunday 38th Annual Model Railroad Show at the Science Museum of Virginia. Featuring all the bells and whistles, guests will enjoy unique and traditional model train displays from across the state. Innsbrook After Hours celebrates its 31st season with a special Black Friday sale. Treat your kids to some history at the Richmond Railroad Museum, 102 Hull Street, at the foot of Mayo’s bridge.  It is the former Southern Railway passenger station. The Museum will be open from 1pm - 8 pm on this day only. The afternoon and evening gala will feature music by John DeMajo on the keyboard. The museum features a number of interesting exhibits including the restored station master’s office and a real caboose and coal-fired locomotive in the parking lot.  Kids always have a lot of fun climbing around on these cars and pretending they are riding the rails for real.  Also on the tour is a large, complex, HO scale model train layout.  Watching trains operate on this lifelike model is fun for children of all ages. Commonwealth Catholic Charities annual Holiday Festival of Music is Monday, November 30th from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The festive evening will include traditional carols and a sing-a-long and the VCU Commonwealth Singers, accompanied by the Richmond Symphony.
