Man suffers non-life threatening injuries after being shot while driving near Chippenham Parkway

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the shooting of a driver in a car traveling near the Chesterfield County and Richmond City line Friday.

Police said the incident occurred between 7:50 p.m. and 8:01 p.m. on November 20. A late model burgundy Lexus was traveling in the area of Chippenham Parkway near Midlothian Turnpike and Jahnke Road when it was shot multiple times.

Shooting

The adult male driver of the Lexus arrived at a nearby hospital where he is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Based on their investigation to date, state police believe this was an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to the public’s safety.

The incident remains under investigation by Virginia State Police, Richmond Police, and Chesterfield County Police.
