HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A Central Virginia woman got the surprise of a lifetime Friday night when her fiancé pulled off an over-the-top proposal -- and a professional video crew was on hand to capture the momentous moment.
Local gospel singer Lisa Winn was coming out of one of her favorite restaurants, Maggiano's Little Italy at Short Pump Town Center, with her fiance, Richard Bryan, when the couple stopped short.
Members of the St. Paul's Baptist Church B.O.M.B. S.Q.U.A.D were dancing to one of Winn's songs called "Questions."
Winn pulled out her cellphone and started recording as a crowd gathered to watch the performance. As the four dancers get down, the music transitions to Bruno Mars' smash hit "Marry You."
As the dancers act out a proposal scene, Winn continues recording, but doesn't seem to realize what is about to happen.
When the lyrics ring out, "just say I do, tell me right now baby...," one of the bystanders holding a bouquet of red roses comes forward and grabs her phone.
The dancers then circle the couple and Winn begins to scream with excitement as she realized what is about to take place.
As the song ends, Bryan drops down to one knee and pulls out an engagement ring.
"Will you marry me," he asks.
"Yes," she replies back through tears.
Winn's reaction is so special, especially once she sees Bryan got her the ring she has always wanted.
"Oh my God, it's Diamond," she shouts.
The crowd, which was filled with friends, laughs as Bryan explains that she has named THE ring.
It turns out Bryan has been trying to ask his fiancé to marry him three times, but each time his plans were foiled.
The couple plans to be married in Bryan's native Jamaica in the summer of 2016.
The video, which was produced by Vllsions Vlldeography, was uploaded toYouTubeSaturday afternoon.
“A good friend of mine Richard made the right decision of finally planning a surprise proposal for his beautiful lady Lisa. Congrats to you guys!” the caption reads.
