Reports: Charlie Sheen to address HIV status on Today show

Posted

NEW YORK — Charlie Sheen will make a “revealing personal announcement” on the “Today” show Tuesday morning, NBC announced. Sheen, the notorious bad boy actor, will sit down in an exclusive interview with “Today” show host Matt Lauer. NBC did not reveal when the interview would take place and did not say what the “personal announcement” would be.

News of the “Today” show interview comes after celebrity tabloid the National Enquirer reported Sheen was HIV positive. Citing sources, celebrity tabloid TMZ also confirmed Sheen’s announcement Tuesday would address his HIV status.

The interview will be available on the “Today” show’s website after it airs. Sheen is one of Hollywood’s best known actors, starring in hit films like “Wall Street” and on CBS’s “Two and a Half Men.”

This is a developing story.
