NEW YORK -- Lovers of pizza would probably like it if they could eat pizza all the time and not gain weight. A writer for Cosmopolitan said she  has pulled it off.

Charlotte Palermino, 28,  called it a "pizza cleanse" -- she decided she would only eat pizza for a week.  She set several rules for her 'diet plan,' including that the pizza had to have crust, as well as cheese or toppings, and sauce.

Palermino's first few days on the plan were difficult: she had heartburn, digestive discomfort, and headaches.  By day three, she said her body was adjusting, only to run into more discomfort the next day. By day six, though, she said her stomach had calmed down and her body had adjusted to eating pizza all the time.

At the end of the week, Palermino said she lost five pounds -- but not because she was only eating pizza. Her doctor told her she probably lost weight because she stopped having wine and consuming sugar.

Despite finding the pizza diet did not make her feel terrible, Palermino said she did not recommend eating pizza exclusively for a full week because it's not a sustainable diet plan.
