CULPEPER, Va. — A student faces felony Strangulation and misdemeanor Assault and Battery charges following an incident at Culpeper County High School. After a 14-year-old female student told a teacher that a fellow student harassed and assaulted her, the school resource officer started an investigation.
“It was reported that a 14-year-old male student was inappropriately touching the female student as well as sexually harassing her. The suspect was allegedly making sexual advances towards her, and when she refused he would assault her,” according to the Culpeper Sheriff’s Office. “The most significant of which was him putting her in a headlock from the rear, and then whispering in her ear, ‘If I had a knife, I would slit your throat.'”
Investigators said several other students came forward with similar stories about the teenage boy.
The boy has been detained at Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Center in Charlottesville while the investigation continues
