HENRICO COUNTY, Va -- A stretch of Patterson Avenue in Henrico is closed while crews fix a broken power pole and an unrelated natural gas leak in the area. Drivers will need to avoid westbound Patterson  Avenue between Forest Avenue and North Parham Road. Henrico Police expected the road to be closed through noon.

The power pole broke when a transformer exploded at around 3 a.m. Friday. The explosion caused an outage to at least 3,000 customers in Tuckahoe. Crews restored power to all but five customers by 4:30 a.m. Friday.
