CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The men who robbed Bellwood Federal Credit Union on Jefferson Davis Highway Thursday morning also robbed a customer waiting in line at the bank, Chesterfield Police said. No one was hurt during the crime.
“Two male suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered the bank, approached the tellers and demanded money,” a Chesterfield Police spokeswoman said about the 10:25 a.m. crime. “The armed suspect also robbed a man who was in line at the bank. Upon receiving cash from the bank and items from the man in line, the suspects fled in a beige or cream-colored vehicle that appeared to be a Cadillac or Lincoln.”
Police described one robber as 6’1″ tall black man with an average build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The second robber, who carried the gun, was described as a 5’10” tall black man in his late 30s to early 40s. He was wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and a black hat.
