CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The search for a missing three-year old-boy was called off late Tuesday night when a dive team pulled his body from a marshy waterway near his Chesapeake home. Cameron Thomas, who has autism, was reported missing by his family around 6 p.m. Tuesday, WTKR reported. Thomas' family said the child climbed out of a window at his home while his father was in the shower.
A pizza delivery driver caught a glimpse of Thomas at a nearby 7-Eleven, but did not know the child was missing, according to Thomas' godmother. Thomas' family described the child as a beautiful, blond-haired, blue-eyed baby.
Volunteers, who helped search for Cameron, held hands in prayer as his body was removed from the water.
