SEATTLE, Washington — The FBI has issued a nationwide alert for two brothers who have been missing for two months. Sage, 15, and Isaac, 9, of Washington state, are believed to be with their mother, who does not have legal custody of the children.

“This appeal is now issued nationally because it has been nearly two months since the children were last seen, on August 28, 2015 in Los Angeles, California,” an FBI spokesperson said. “Investigators hope the public’s memory may be sparked by unique clothing that may be worn by Sage and Isaac. The boys packed these items among others when they traveled to Los Angeles.”

  • Sage, 15, may be wearing a green t-shirt depicting the Star Wars character Darth Vader wearing a flower lei in a tropical location
  • Sage may be wearing a black NASA t-shirt showing an equation and the words “be greater than average”
  • Isaac, 9, may be wearing a black t-shirt showing the space shuttle Atlantis

Sage and Isaac Cook’s father put the boys on a plane to Los Angeles after receiving what he thought was a court order for a supervised visit with their mother, KCPQ reported. Authorities believe the boys’ mother, Faye Ku, forged the order.

When police searched Ku’s Lakewood, California apartment, they discovered it had been abandoned. Investigators say that in 2013, the boys’ mother was stopped at Sea-Tac Airport as she tried to board a plane to Taiwan with the children.

The boys’ family is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to their safe return.  Sage is 5-foot-6, 109 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Isaac is 4-foot-6, 64 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Faye Ku, 41, is 5-foot-3, 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
